Workplace Location
Rockpool Residential Aged Care in Carseldine features a range of beautifully designed spacious luxury suites and premium rooms, set amongst leafy surrounds and walkways. Located in the lush bushland of Carseldine Village. It is in close proximity to shops, public transport, and parks. Rockpool offers the best in contemporary aged care design.
About the Role
We are seeking casual and part time Cleaning Assistants to join the Hospitality Services Team at our aged care facility located in Carseldine.
Monday to Sunday shifts, 20 – 30 hours per week
*Roster to be discussed with successful candidates
Duties & Responsibilities
- Understanding of infection control
- Delivering a high-quality cleaning services to all residents
- To be customer focused and ensure all work is carried out in an efficient manner
- To work within OH&S requirements at all times
- To ensure the facility is cleaned effectively as guided by Cleaning Schedules; Infection Control Manuals; and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDA)
- The ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner
- The ability to work flexibly within the facility
- Demonstrate initiative and love being part of a team
- Actively participates in quality activities aimed at the continuous improvement
- Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of all areas in the facility (i.e. common areas, bathrooms, resident rooms, etc.)
- Always Maintaining a HACCP compliant environment
- Communicating effectively with co-workers, and other stakeholders
- Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents
- Function set up and clear down
Skills & Experience
- Reliable and punctual and self-motivated
- Ability to multi-task and perform work within deadlines
- Empathy and respect towards aged care residents, staff and clients
- Experience working in Aged Care or a hospital environment an advantage
- Certificate in hospitality an advantage
- Must have reliable transportation
Mandatory requirements for all candidates
- Evidence of COVID-19 vaccinations
- Evidence of current flu vaccination
- Willingness to undergo a police check
- Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia
