Rockpool Rooms

Some people enjoy their own company, while others love to be around people. For this reason, our rooms are larger than you will find in most centres – providing the space and amenity needed for residents to live their way.

Rooms at Rockpool are designed to provide residents with their own private sanctuary. With enough space to host guests and entertain or simply enjoy their own company. Each room includes:

Kitchenette

with everything one needs to make a cuppa or simple refreshment.

Entertaining space

a comfortable sitting area for hosting guests privately.

Desk and study area

providing the space to write, draw or read the paper.

Private ensuite

most with a Japanese style bidet to allow for comfortable and private toileting, even when very frail.

The Rooms

Each room is equipped with an easy-to-use interactive smart TV that helps residents remain connected. Through video calling you can literally say good morning and good night, each and every day. It also provides a host of other functions, including:

  • My photos – share your latest pics or holiday snaps with your loved one, straight from your smartphone.
  • Daily Activities bulletin and Daily Menu options, games.
  • Free to air TV, live streaming – Foxtel, Netflix etc (upon request).
  • Internet access and communication
  • Radio.

Room Options

The Morayfield Centre has six different room options available, ranging in size from our simple studio rooms to our suites that are able to accommodate couples.

Naturally every room is fitted with a ‘distress’ or ‘nurse call’ system conveniently positioned beside the bed and in the bathroom. When pressed it alerts every single medical staff member. Residents who are highly susceptible to falls are also provided with a permanent pendant to ensure help is there when it is needed.
